The Effect of Multicultural Education on Preservice Teachers’ Attitude and Efficacy: Testing Bank’s Content Integration Dimension

The sudden increase in diversity the public schools has caught teacher preparation institutions unprepared. situation led to a need develop instructional interventions help pre-service teachers get ready for new context that they will be facing first time. Multicultural education can of great importance address issues related diversities. In order create multicultural environments at schools, all actors educational area skills better communicate with students from different cultures. One most important topics during training process is equipping necessary skills, attitudes, and information teach environments. To this end, designing teacher-training curriculum raise teachers' efficacy levels essential. quasi-experimental study, we investigated effects 10-week intervention carried out through Bank’s content integration process. Fifty-two enrolled department social sciences state university Turkey participated study. Findings indicated statistically significant difference between pre-test post-test scores experimental group, who attended course, terms their attitude efficacy.
